[REVIEW] Empties

Hi guys!

Wanted to do a mini review on products that I have used up. I was on Accutane while trying out these products. Please remember to speak with your Dermatologist about specific ingredients you may or may not use while on Accutane.

  1. Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum (49.00 USD)

I picked this up after a Sephora representative recommended this for me. I used this after I washed my face and before putting on my moisturizer. For me I did not find this product to be hydrating for my skin. I will not be repurchasing.

  2. Murad Multi-Vitamin Infusion Oil ($72.00 USD)
    img_7067
I picked this up when it first launched last year and I’m absolutely in LOVE with it! It really does do what it claims it’s supposed to do. I use this after I wash my face put a little bit on and let it sit for about five minutes. On top of this, I would put on my moisturizer. You could easily see how my skin was hydrated and how radiant my make-up looked! Will be repurchasing.

  3. Origins Ginzing Ultra-Hydrating Energy-Boosting Cream ($29.00 USD)

I picked this up a few months ago while roaming around Ulta. I thought it will help with my dry skin, I went through the entire thing and did not really feel a difference. Definitely a miss and will not repurchase.

  4. MUFE Step 1 Hydrate Primer ($29.00 USD)

Picked this item up from Sephora when one of the representatives recommended it. I finished the entire tube and did not feel it hydrated my skin as I thought it would. Will not repurchase.

  5. Smashbox Studio Skin Hydrating Foundation ($36.00 USD)
    img_7080
Like most people, I’ve tried many many foundations to find one that I may like. This is one of the few foundations that I like. It was hydrating and I found myself constantly getting compliments from people on how good my  make-up looks. I used a sponge to apply the foundation. Will definitely be repurchasing!

  6. Flower Beauty Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer ($9.99 USD)
    img_7081
This concealer was very hyped up and said that it was a dupe for Tartes Shape Tape Concealer. For a drugstore concealer I can definitely say it is full coverage and hydrating! For me I had to set it because I felt like it would move around. I can see myself repurchasing this.

That’s all I have for this post guys! Xo ~ SimplyCaliGal

[Review]: Foundation L’Oreal Infallible 24hr Wear

I just finished up the first bottle of L’Oreal Infallible Foundation and I have to say I’m in love!! The color I picked up was a little too dark for me (440). As far as the wear and coverage it has become one of my favorites.

I work in a hospital and I’m running around most of my shift and at the end of it it still looks great! The coverage I would say is medium to full coverage. If I want a little more coverage on certain areas, I go in with my Tarte Shape Tape Concealer and it still came out looking great!

Simple Everyday Makeup

Good Morning!!!! πŸ™‚ It is gloomy and cold out here in Los Angeles hope it is nicer near you! Today I wanted to share my simple and basic morning skincare and makeup routine I currently use.

Skincare
Every morning when I wake up I use the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser (14.99 USD). Since I was on Accutane last year, I would use this cleanser and continue to use it after being off of Accutane.
I then take a cotton pad and put my Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner ($15 USD) on it and use it on my face. I wait about a minute and then go in with the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion (11.99 USD). After I apply the lotion, I wait a few minutes.
Next, I go in with my elta MD SPF (16.99 USD). I used this product for most of the time while on Accutane. I don’t think I’m a huge fan of it once this bottle finishes, I want to explore other SPFs as this is an important step in the skincare process.
After the SPF dries I apply my Laura Mercier Radiance Primer($38.00 USD) Next Step Makeup!

Make up:
Foundation: L’OREAL Infalliable Fresh Wear 24HR Foundation ($14.99 USD)
Setting Powder: Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow (39.00 USD)
Eyeliner: Sephora Long Lasting Kohl Pencil ($10.00 USD)
Mascara (top): IT Cosmetics Superhero ($24.00)
Mascara (bottom): Maybelline Volume the Falsies ($6.99 USD)
Bronzer: Too Faced Soleli Bronzer ($30.00 USD the one I have is the old one)
Blush: Laura Mercier Blush Color: Chai ($30.00 USD)
Lip Liner: Fresh Clay (sorry can’t find this item on their site)
Lipstick: MAC Color Velvet Teddy ($19.50 USD)

Final Result…..

Hope you guys have a wonderful Sunday! xo Mary πŸ’›
